Learning To Drive! -Life Update-
Hello everyone and welcome back to another blog post!
Yesterday was a very exciting day for me as I had my very first driving lesson, luckily for me my dad owns a driving school so I do get free lessons which I am extremely grateful for. It also means I am making many coffee's and being on my best behaviour in return haha.
It went rather well actually and I really enjoyed it :D
Its certainly an experience and I suddenly felt a rush of nerves fill up inside me as I sat down in the drivers seat, so much so that I was shaking, I was talked through how to start the car and how everything worked inside it right down to how to turn on the wind screen wipers.
It was time to start up the car and do my first bit of driving..
It was around 5:30 which meant it wasn't very busy at all and we were down a quiet area which was much better, you don't really want to start on a main road haha.
I revved the engine too much to start with as the gas peddle is actually really light and its quit difficult to get it in the right place with the clutch at first to pull off but as the lesson went on I got the hang of it. You get used to how much you have to press the peddles down and it didn't take that long.
We went round a couple times and I got used to the steering and stopping and starting, I started changing gears too and overall used 1,2 and 3.
I practised some pulling off from a hill stop too and then went up onto the main road which I admit was a little scary as all of a sudden you don't just have to worry about what your doing but everything around you.
Thankfully no one got run over and I didn't crash so I think it went alright XD
I then drove all the way home and the lesson was just under an hour, I have another lesson today so I hope that will go as well :D
Are any of you learning to drive yet? Let me know what you think of it!
See you in my next blog post! Byeee
