Apps to help you relax!

Hello everyone and welcome to a new blog post.

Today's post is all about apps that you can get to help you relax.

I have suffered with extreme anxiety for the past 5 years and have found some useful apps that you can get on your phone that can help to keep you calm and relaxed.

Of course you don't need to have anxiety just to have these apps as they can be used for stress relief or just to generally relax.

Most people have a phone that can download apps and often more times than not have a phone on them. So if you find yourself feeling stressed or anxious you can use some of these to help you out! :)

Head space

Head space is a sort of online relaxation session app. When you download it you get the first 10 sessions free. These aim to relax you with a guided walk through to deeply relax your body and mind. They are all 10 minuets each so that's an hour and 40 minutes worth for free.

After you have completed your first 10 sessions you can subscribe to unlock more sessions. They are all based on relaxing. There are different subjects to choose from such as health, foundation or relationships. You can then click on whatever subject you want to do and then go deeper in to the sessions that are what you want. So if I click on health it then takes me to a page that has things like self esteem, stress and anxiety. You can then listen to them to help you.

The app also features a thing called singles. These are short little sessions that can help you manage other things such as fear of flying, Classic head space and the brilliant SOS. The SOS part is for what they call the "mini meltdowns" So if you suffer from anxiety or panic attacks these are great, they are each 3 minuets long and can help to calm you down in emergencies.

Brain Dots

Brain dots has to be one of my favorite apps I have ever downloaded. Firstly it is addictive and secondly it is so simply yet so relaxing. Once you have downloaded the game you can start to play. The aim of the game is to draw lines and other objects to get the pink and blue dot's to touch together. The game features many different puzzles that are so simple but can be rather challenging.

The music that goes along with the app is also rather nice and has a sweet relaxing tune that I am very fond of.

Fitstar Yoga

Fitstar Yoga is your very own pocket Yoga instructor. A great way to release stress and anxiety is to exercise and no this does not mean you have to run a marathon. By simply doing some yoga it can relax you and keep you fit. It helps you to take control of your breathing and go into complete calmness.

The app itself is very explanatory, a lady will pop up in a bubble to guide you through your first few sessions. Of course each session has a personal yoga instructor but the app is very guided and I really like that about it. Once you have signed up, the app tailors the lessons to you. It asks you how knowledgeable you are in yoga, your flexibility etc.

You don't need all the fancy equipment either or the hassle of having to even leave your home because its all there on your phone. Its really nice to take it outside though, perhaps set up your own area in a park, set up your phone and there you have it! Yoga outside, how pleasant :)

Nike running and run keeper

If running is more your thing then fear not I have looked at some apps for you. I firstly downloaded Nike running, this app is by the massive sports brand Nike and its a great little app. Firstly you sign up with either Nike or Facebook or you can always log in if you already have an account. If you are on an iPhone you can choose to sync your health app to it too so it can track your heart rate whilst  you run.

You can even play your music while you run as that's a thing I defiantly like to do while running. The app itself is easy to use. The main page shows how many kilometers you have run, the total runs you have made whilst using the app, your average pace and your average Nike fuel. This app doesn't require internet to run so you can run!

You can then choose to begin the run and your ready to go so get on a pair of trainers and head on out!

The next app I tried out was the run keeper app.

This app requires internet to run so if you do not have a phone that can have WiFi away from home then this probably wont be very good for you. I do not have access to internet away from my home either so I haven't been able to fully test this.

This app, once you have made an account and logged in seems great. It uses a map feature, you can listen to your music whilst you run and you can track your progress. There is even options to set goals for the amount of time and length you run.

You can connect with friends and see how they are doing with their running and set other things for weight loss etc.

All in all both apps are great.

So there we go my top apps to help you relax, I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you next time! Byeee :D

Any company's mentioned are not my own and I do not claim them to be either.
