How I Revise!
Hello everyone,
I know for some of you, these posts may be in no way what you want to read and that is fine. My beauty blog posts will be continuing within the next few blog posts but my other blog posts on revision seem to have been popular so I thought I would do one of my final ones as currently this is the main thing i am doing and i want my blog to be on things I am thinking and doing.
So I am currently being a hermit in my house, not seeing daylight and having to revise a LOT.
I'm joking...But it can seem that way when the high light of your day is going to the shops with your mum.
Anyway, here is how i have been revising and trying to not make it seem so..urmm...prisoner to text books?
The first thing I like to do is write out in my diary a plan of my next day. With times I will get up, start revising, take breaks from revising and so on. I then blue tack it to my wall right by my bed so that when I wake up I see that straight away and am set on what I need to do straight away before I can put it off. It also feels very good when you can cross things off the list as you do them so that you feel as if you are progressing in your revision studies.
Don't try and plan to do far to much in one day. You would be surprised at how tiring it is so setting yourself a target of 6 different subjects at 2 hours each is not going to be reasonable. The most I do is 3 subjects and even when I do that it can go up to 5 hours in one day.
One of the most important things to do is to take a break from revision because doing too much of it can cause you to start drifting away and not really focusing. Everyone's attention span is different so plan your breaks around that. Even if your attention span is good don't over work as you wont absorb the information as well as you could have if you had let your brain settle down for a bit.
If you find it difficult to go from work mode to relaxed mode i made a post on that a few days ago so go and check that one out for my tips on that subject as I sometimes find it difficult to do so.
A thing that has helped me so, so, so, so......(A few days later.)
Is listening to music while revising. When I say this to some people such as older people they give me a funny look and say "how can you read in your head while someones singing?" I honestly find it makes my revision sessions much more enjoyable, I also revise at my dining table so my brother is sometimes well not sometimes. Let me rephrase that. ALWAYS on the PlayStation4 shouting at his games when its clearly him doing it wrong rather than the game but i wont go into that as if you say that you probably know, its a loosing battle because it is obviously the game.

Basically listening to music drowns out any other noises in the room and keeps me relaxed and actually sort of makes me enjoy revision? I thought I would never say that haha but it honestly makes such a difference. Defiantly give it a go if you hate revising! :D
Always have a drink with you while you revise. Fresh juice is so refreshing and gets your brain working. Healthy snacks are good too as it gets you woken up and gives you lots of enegery to learn!
However normal squash and a bit of chocolate doesn't harm either...
So there you have it, all I can think of what I do to help myself revise. Keep going because the motivation is to get where you want to go in the future! Your not alone either as here is little me doing it too. If you have any questions or want to share some of your tips feel free to post a comment as i would love to hear from you guys.
See you next time, byee! :D
